The AD Assessment Scheduler of SmartProfiler for Active Directory is designed to run AD Assessment automatically and notify if any issues occur. Once the schedule is finished running, an email will be sent to the recipients defined in the scheduler and email will look like below:
To open the Smart Scheduler, click on the “Smart Scheduler” under the “Active Directory Security” pane. In the left pane, you can define the schedule as to when the AD Assessment is going to run and in the right pane, you can check/uncheck the AD Tests. Please note Smart Scheduler can only execute AD Tests which are checked in the grid.
The Smart Scheduler runs with Smart Profiler AD Agent. Please make sure Smart Profiler AD Agent is running for AD Scheduler to work.
If you do not wish to use AD Scheduler, you can disable the scheduler by clicking “Disable Scheduler” button found on the Action bar.
To create an Email Template, click on “Manage Email Templates” button:
If you would like to edit an existing email template, select the email template form the drop down and then click on “Open” button. To create a new email template, provide all inputs and then click on “Save Template” button to save the email template.
You can also send a test email to ensure email fields are correct by clicking on “Send Test Email” button.
Note that Scheduler must be enabled in order to run scheduler test and also the SmartProfiler AD Agent must be running on the target computer.
If you make any changes to the schedule settings and check/uncheck tests to be included in the Scheduler, please ensure to click on “Save Schedule Settings” button on the action bar. The AD Assessment Scheduler of SmartProfiler checks all tests recommended by ANSSI and MITRE.
